What Makes You Happy?

What does happy mean? Happy is when you are feeling or showing pleasure or contentment towards someone or something. So have you ever thought about what makes you happy? Happiness is more about who than what! Happiness is always associated with who or two. Because happy what always leads to happy what else, what’s next.

Happiness is something we have to continuously work on. Robert Waldinger, the director of Harvard Study of Adult Development, one of the largest studies done on lifetime happiness, found that good relationships keep us happier and healthier. The study found that the key to healthy aging is building strong relationships because good relationships can protect our brains.

What that means is that despite small bickering and disagreements, at the end of the day, you still feel like you can count on the other person when things get tough. Researchers found that those with strong social support experienced less mental deterioration as they age!

What’s the lesson here? Strong relationships can help you live longer and happier. However, building strong relationships is only a small part of living a sustainable, holistic healthy lifestyle! It’s important to take care of all aspects of your life besides building strong connections, such as avoiding excess alcohol and smoking, eating in moderation, and keeping a positive mindset.
