Thinking about what we should eat for our next meal can be a difficult decision because we have to consider what we should eat on a daily basis for a balanced diet. Consuming a variety of foods can give you daily vitamins, minerals, protein, and energy to fuel your body for the day.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) also notes that consuming a variety of nutrient-dense food and beverages is important for good health. We should also be aware of how much added sugars, salt, alcohol and saturated and trans fats we consume, limiting them as much as possible.

Teresa Fung, an adjunct professor in the department of nutrition at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, suggests adding more salmon, brussels sprouts, blueberries, nuts, and plain yogurt to your meals. There are also a lot of other superfoods that you can incorporate into your daily meals such as peanut butter and kale to name some.

By having a balanced diet in our lifestyle habits, we are positively impacting our other lifestyle habits like calorie control which impacts weight control and so on. A balanced diet starts with vegetables, white meat, and healthy carbs. Eating a well nutritious diet can help maintain your weight, improve your sleep quality, and lower your blood pressure.
